30 Days of Nothing looks different for different people, which is great because every family is different and every person has their own spending "issues" to tackle. I love reading how people are experiencing their challenges.

Katie.
Bridget.
Melodie.

There it is. I love different perspectives and different ways of life. But one thing seems to bind us all together. Coffee. I was a little surprised at how much money we, as women, dump down the black hole for a cup of joe. No wonder there's a Starbucks on every corner.

Right now I'm sitting in my kitchen watching water drip from the ceiling. I am also trying not to yank my hair out in frustration wondering how much this is going to cost us. Is this going to set us back from our spring break trip to California???? Is this "issue" still under warranty from our contractor? Was my cutting back this month going to be sidelined by a major repair bill? It kinda stinks. So, time to put on my big girl panties and just put all this angst into a kick-butt cardio workout. *

*Oh my gosh! You didn't think I was serious, did you?

We have never met, but I got connected to your blog from Melodie's blog. Our family is doing a spending fast this month as well. I like that you bring up the point that it looks different for everyone. That is important to note. There have been moments throughout this time where I have questioned if I should be doing it differently because of what I read on someone else's blog. Thanks for the reminder that sticking to my commitment and rules is okay!! You can check out my journey at clapptribe.blogspot.com.

ugh! Why is it that every time we intentionally try to save money, something disasterous comes at us out of the blue? Murphy's Law, eh?

We got some bad news yesterday that's going to necessitate extreme cut-backs in spending for the foreseeable future. Thanks to you and the inspiration you've given us with this challenge, we're a lot more prepared...
