Laugh or Cry?

There is a Bible verse that says, "There's a time to laugh, and a time to cry." But I truly didn't know which applied this afternoon. I came home from the grocery store and Lily announced, "Zinabu did my hair!" It was something, let me tell you. I am not posting photos of what it looked like in the back because when Lily is 16 I would like her to still be on speaking terms with me. However, the giant bangs and clump of hair I found on the counter were enough cause for worry.

Oh.......my. Was she happy about what Z did to her hair? I mean, she IS smiling in the picture but that doesn't always imply happiness. Hmmmmmmm.

oh no...I have a feeling I'll be there one of these days soon. Tobin decided Desta needed to turn over "right now" and proceeded to thump her head on the wood floor. Yes, brothers do love their sisters!

Ugh, totally been there except in my case my daughter was her own stylist. It killed me- we have been oiling and painstakingly trying to get my daughter's very dry hair to grow and it still isn't very long. I cried when I found the 6 twists in the bathroom trash can- and of course they were the front twists- there was no covering the almost bald section of her head. I feel your pain- and I'm impressed there was even a part of you that could laugh- you are a better woman than I!
Hope Lily's hair grows back quickly- in the meantime some cute scarves may be in order!
blessings,
Heather

Given how long it took to get ANY hair on my oldest daughter's head, I am in the cry camp.

The kids look happy and no worse for the wear. In 8 years this will be a GREAT story:)
